Qigong

Hi everyone, let's focus on Qigong now.

The rules for every kungfu is simple, to win, "you must hit him & don't let him hit you".

Qigong is the Chinese martial art to determine how important is Chinese system of physical and mental training for health, it is a kungfu with self-enlightenment.
There are four types of training for the practices of Qigong, they are:

Dynamic -Training involves special tactics which refer to kungfu such as Tai ji Quan (more details will update on next presentation on Taiqi).

Static - To hold the body in a paticular posture during training.

Meditative - The training focus on skills like ideas, sounds, images, concepts or breathing patterns.

Activities - Training specific on special occasions to be approve by the governments such as well-known events and so on.

The Practices of Qigong are:

  1. Dynamic qigong - refer to a series of carefully movements or gestures that are designed to promote and manipulate the flow of qi within the trainee’s body.

  2. Static qigong - exercise that holds a certain posture, position or stance for a period of time just like practicing Yoga in the Buddhist ways.
  3. Meditation Qigong - a popular training method of mind body that can be found in many different cultures. The kind of Qigong with external agents as many system of qigong training includes the use of external agents.
  4. Qi gong with external agents - In terms of Medical and Daoist methods, specialized food and drinks are prescribed to aid in the manipulation of qi (air).
  5. Overall, Qigong is the use of massage and various forms of body that are used to promote qi flow.

The main reasons for Qigong's martial arts:

  • Qigong is useful kungfu created in Chinese martial arts.
  • Qigong is the source of power and also the basic internal style of martial arts. For example: Tai chi chuan, Xing yi and Baguazhaun are part of Chinese martial art which is the combination of Qigong as its basic skills.
  • Qigong skills such as the withstand heavy strikes (Iron Shirt) and the ability to break hard objects (Iron Palm) are skills that is part of the qigong training.
